So, you probably know that Baltimore City recently passed a law requiring all rental properties to be inspected... BY THE END OF THE 2018! The rental inspection market can be a challenging one because most home inspections firms just aren't set up do handle them. We normally book 2 appointments a day, each appointment takes 2-3 hours on average, and that's generally how we manage our time. However, rental inspections typically take between 30 minutes and an hour. That means we either lose an entire half of the day to do one rental inspection or we hope to book multiple inspections in a row. Needless to say, it can become a hassle for both us and the property owners.
